Commodore Condos

Commodore Condominiums, located on St. Charles Ave. offer an historic location from which to be part of the community in the Garden District. On the corner of St. Charles and Toledano, one is within walking distance of the shopping, dining, intellectual, and outdoor pursuits of Uptown New Orleans.

Living at the Commodore

A unique architectural structure, the building of Commodore Condominiums was built in the 1920’s as an apartment complex. In 2004 Commodore was converted to one bedroom and studio condominiums. Brick exterior and red clay tile roof complement the iron gates and window casing of this 90 year old building. Three stories high with 31 units, the units are centered on an interior courtyard, with trees and green space to find quiet from the bustling sidewalks and street car out front.

Commodore now features high end details like stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. Hard wood floors and updated bathrooms add simple luxury to these units, while elegant windows through which one may view either the Avenue or the Courtyard provide an abundance of natural lighting.

The historical element permeates Commodore Condominiums, with its architecture from the 1920’s, one can imagine life on St. Charles in another era. This is a good environment for students, writers, and those with artistic pursuits. Nearby one may relax at one of the coffee houses and watering holes that cater to the local community. Some local favorites on St. Charles include Miss Aimee B’s Tea Room and St. Charles Vintage House.

One can imagine sitting outside on one of the benches in the courtyard with a journal, or on the lawn at Audubon Park with a pencil and sketchbook. Whatever the form of one’s medium, St. Charles offers inspiration to feed a creative spirit.

“Seriously the most knowledgeable and experienced real estate agent I’ve ever met. I fully trust him. He’s highly organized and very sharp with the contracts. If you’re going to sell a house or buy one, you have to get him. Once you work with Jason, you’ll never even think about working with any other realtor, ever.” – Temple Callahan
